“One Rack” Challenge with optional Mystery Meat cookoff.

Show off your BBQ skills! Join GrillBillies “One Rack Rib Challenge”.  So, if you’re that guy or gal whom everyone says “you cook the best “Q in town” then come out and show us your stuff.

Prizes (Ribs):

1^st Place               $ 250

2nd Place             $ 200

3rd Place             $ 150

4th Place              $ 100

5th Place              $   50

 

Entry Fees-

Ribs Only $69

Here’s how it works:

Each team will be given one rack of St. Louis Cut Pork Ribs

Each team, if they elect to, will be given a mystery meat

You will turn in 6 ribs for judging

No garnish is necessary

Any smoker or grill is allowed

Due to space requirements a 10X10 cook space

No trailers unless they fit in the cooking space

Vehicles will be parked in lot adjacent to GrillBillies

No power available

Generators allowed

No retailing

 

GrillBillies will supply-

All meats

Turn-in boxes

Judges

Water (one source)

Ash, grease & trash disposal

Bathrooms

 

Judging-

As best as possible, GrillBillies will have certified KCBS judges

Judges will be instructed to judge taste & tenderness ONLY

Judging will be double blind

 

Timeline-

7:00 AM to 7:45 AM-Arrive

8 :00 AM Cooks meeting & meat selection

12:30 PM Mystery meat turn-in

3:00 PM Rib turn-in

4:00 PM Awards
